Saturday morning we went for a nice tramp (hike).

There is a tremendous Maori influence in New Zealand. They are the indigenous Polynesian people of mainland NZ. This is a Pouwhenua which is a carved wooden post which marks a place of significance.

After a lunch of pizza in the village of Oneroa we sailed back to the race course off North Head in Auckland. Hour and 15 minute beat with Solent and full main. About 8 nm. We enjoyed watching a very close race between Ineos and Luna Rossa. Nine lead changes!
After the race we headed back to Waiheke Island. Sails up at 6:15. Beautiful 20 nm sail with C3 and full main to East side of Waiheke Island. Made dinner of lamb, potatoes and salad on the way. Arrived at 8:15 and anchored in Wairere Bay just south of Man O War Bay for dinner.
