Sprung out of isolation into action

We left managed isolation at 7:20 am Monday morning. Freddie & Kat, two of our boat crew who came in and isolated before us, picked us up and dropped us at a hotel right by all the action at Viaduct Basin. We got settled in and then went to visit the American Magic base. They were preparing to go out for practice races. Freddie, Kat and Nikolai got the Catamaran off the ship and delivered her to our new home at the docks opposite the base. They will spend a few days getting Arethusa back in action and sorting out the container and then we will all move on her. Last evening the American Magic team were the guests of New Zealand Yacht Squadron. The commodore hosted a Q&A with Phil and two other team members for their membership and guests. It was very well received. We had a nice ‘normal’ dinner nearby with Rob & Katie Ouellette. It is nice to be in a world that is currently covid free. You still are required to wear a mask in any kind of public transportation including an Uber. Our hotel employees are required to wear masks as well. There are currently no cases except in isolation facilities.
